About Me

I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and the Founder and Director of 1Life - Centre for Counselling and Research with more than 18 years of experience in the field. Over the course of my career, I have supported individuals and families through provincially and federally funded programs, including the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP), Stopping the Violence (STV), Employee Assistance Programs, and Family Preservation & Reunification Programs.

I help people of all ages work through trauma, grief, anxiety, relationships, and life challenges. Using approaches like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Clinical Hypnosis, and solution-focused methods, I provide personalized care and support, including for high-risk situations.

As a first-generation immigrant, I bring a deep understanding of the unique experiences and challenges faced by immigrant communities, and I am particularly committed to providing compassionate counselling support to immigrants and women. In addition to English, I am able to connect with clients in several South Asian languages, including Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, which allows for greater comfort, cultural understanding, and meaningful communication during the therapeutic process.

Using a flexible, client-centered approach, I offer virtual counselling sessions aimed at empowering individuals, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being. My goal is to support clients as they work toward healing, personal growth, and meaningful, lasting positive change.
