Insurance Coverage | MSP

At 1Life Centre, the counsellor Farah Haq is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, affiliated with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). We also accept counselling coverage that you may have through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), ICBC and many others. If you have questions about how your fees will be paid for, please ask for assistance when you call. The cost per session is within the guidelines suggested by BCACC.

You will need to check with your particular insurance company to ensure that your coverage is provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). If you have this type of coverage you simply need to provide the receipt that you get from 1Life Centre to your insurance company and they will reimburse you according to your plan or retain as a medical expense for income tax purposes, if applicable in your case.

Medical Service Plan (MSP) of BC does not cover counselling services. Many people have access to extended health insurance plans through their employers. You may even have counselling coverage as part of your plan and may be able to use these benefits to cover all or part of the costs of counselling.
